Every gated community and managed tower has its own contractor rules; the passes, lift bookings and working hours are arranged before a crew is dispatched.
Access is where a cleaning job goes wrong before anyone picks up a cloth. A crew turned away at a gate or a service lift that was never booked costs a morning.
We hold the passes for the communities we work in regularly, and confirm the rest at the inspection rather than on the day.
What to check
- Gate or building registration in the owner's name, arranged in advance
- Service lift bookings in managed towers
- Permitted working hours and quiet-hours rules
- Parking and the equipment route from vehicle to door
- Method statements and insurance where building management requires them
Asked about this
Gated villa communities and island developments generally require the most notice. Managed towers need lift bookings more than passes.
A working day for routine visits; longer for out-of-hours or permitted work.
Someone needs to authorise entry, but it does not have to be you for the whole visit.
