Electrostatic application wraps disinfectant around surfaces and reaches the faces a cloth never touches — used after cleaning, never instead of it.
An electrostatic sprayer charges the droplets so they are attracted to surfaces and wrap around the far side of a handle, a chair leg or a keyboard. It covers a room faster and more completely than wiping, and it reaches geometry a cloth cannot.
What it does not do is clean. Charged droplets landing on a greasy surface coat the grease. That is why we clean first and disinfect second, every time, and why anyone selling fogging as a substitute for cleaning is selling theatre.

Why it matters
Manual wiping is only as complete as the person holding the cloth. Studies of hand-contact points in shared spaces consistently find that the surfaces missed are the same ones every time: the underside of handles, the back of chair arms, the far face of a switch plate. Electrostatic application removes that variability, because the droplet goes where the charge takes it rather than where the hand went.
