Nursery, school and play-area cleaning with fragrance-free low-VOC products, disinfection at hand height, and a written record for inspection files.
Children touch everything at a height adults never think about, then put their hands in their mouths. A nursery is cleaned at a different altitude from an office, and with a different chemical philosophy.
We work fragrance-free and low-VOC as the default, target disinfection at hand-contact points and floor level rather than spraying rooms indiscriminately, and leave a record that stands up in an inspection.
Four things that decide the result
Cleaned at child height
Door handles, low shelving, chair backs, table undersides and the bottom metre of every wall.
Fragrance-free by default
Low-VOC products, ventilated as we work, with re-entry times stated before anyone returns to the room.
Toys and soft furnishings
Washable toys, mats, cushions and soft play treated as part of the scope rather than skipped.
Records for inspection
Product data sheets, areas treated and optional surface swabbing for an accreditation file.
Where it applies
- Classrooms, play areas and soft-play equipment
- Washrooms, nappy-changing areas and sluice facilities
- Kitchens, pantries and feeding areas
- Nap rooms, mats, cots and bedding
- Corridors, entrances and outdoor play surfaces
- Deep clean cycles during term breaks
Why it matters
Illness moves through a nursery along the surfaces children actually touch, which are almost never the surfaces an adult cleans by instinct. The bottom of a door, the edge of a low table, the underside of a chair and the floor itself carry more traffic than any worktop. Cleaning at that altitude is the difference between a clean-looking room and a clean one.
How we carry it out
- A zone map agreed with you so classrooms, washrooms and food areas never share equipment
- Mechanical cleaning first, then disinfection targeted at hand height and floor level
- Fragrance-free, low-VOC products with the room ventilated as we work
- Re-entry time stated, and swab points re-tested where your accreditation requires it
Asked about this
Almost always. Routine work is done after hours, and deep cycles are scheduled into term breaks.
We default to fragrance-free, low-VOC products and state a re-entry time. Data sheets are available for your file.
Yes, with surface hygiene swabbing before and after, against a stated standard.
Washable items, yes, as part of the scope. We flag anything that cannot be safely treated.
In writing after an inspection, with every item named. The visit costs nothing.
