Curtain cleaning in Dubai carried out on the rail: a fabric check, a full vacuum of both faces, steam with a moving head, and the track cleaned at the same time. Every visit is scoped in writing after an inspection.
Curtains are the largest piece of fabric in most rooms and the least often cleaned. They hang still for years while a sealed, air-conditioned property pushes the same air past them several times an hour, and they hold a real share of what that air is carrying.
They are also the easiest thing in a home to ruin with good intentions. Lined curtains shrink unevenly in a wash because the face fabric and the lining move at different rates. Blackout coatings crack under an iron. A heading that has hung for five years rarely re-hangs the way it came down. So unless a curtain is unlined, washable and pre-shrunk, we clean it where it is.
Six signs curtains need attention
Curtains are deceptive. They look the same for a long time, and then look markedly different after a treatment.
A grey line along the leading edge
The edge that gets handled every day picks up skin oils and dust before the rest of the curtain shows anything.
Dust rising when the curtains move
Visible motes in the light when a curtain is drawn means the fabric is holding more than it can keep.
A smell that returns after airing
Fabric holds cooking, smoke and damp odours long after the air has cleared, and fragrance sprays make it worse.
Sneezing near the window
Curtains are a dust reservoir. For an allergy sufferer they are one of the first things worth treating in a bedroom.
Marks at the hem
Hems collect floor soil, pet contact and, on balcony doors, whatever comes in from outside.
Nothing at all for two years
Curtains are deceptive: they look the same for a long time and then look markedly better after a treatment.
Included
- A fabric and construction check, tested on a hidden section before anything else
- Full vacuum of both faces with an upholstery head, including the lining
- Steam treatment with a moving head, at a distance matched to the fabric
- Leading edges, hems and pleat folds, where the soil actually is
- Track, rings, hooks and pelmet cleaned while the fabric is treated
- Curtains left open to dry, and a walk-through before we leave
Not included
- Laundering or wet washing of curtains
- Alteration, repair, re-hemming or hardware work
- Treatment of delicate, silk or sun-damaged fabric without discussing it first
- Any promise that every existing stain will lift
We would rather set the boundary before the visit than explain it afterwards. If a curtain is beyond what cleaning can do, the inspection is where you will hear it.
How a curtain is actually treated
Check the fabric
Construction, lining and fibre identified, and a hidden section tested before anything else happens. Silk, viscose and coated linings each change what we do next.
Vacuum first
Both faces, top to bottom, with an upholstery head and controlled suction. Dry soil is removed mechanically before any moisture, because steam on dust makes mud.
Steam with a moving head
Held at the right distance and never still, so the fabric is treated without water marking it and without heat sitting on a coated lining.
Track, then dry
Rings, hooks and track cleaned, curtains left open until dry to the touch, and a walk-through with you before the crew leaves.

Curtain cleaning: what owners ask
Every six to twelve months for most homes, with a monthly vacuum in between. Sooner where a window faces a construction site or an arterial road, or where there are pets, smokers or an allergy sufferer in the household.
In most cases no. Lined, interlined and blackout curtains are cleaned on the rail, which avoids the shrinkage and re-hanging that go wrong when curtains are laundered.
A fabric check on a hidden section, a full vacuum of both faces with an upholstery head, steam treatment with a moving head, attention to the leading edges and hems, cleaning of the track and rings, and the curtains left open to dry.
We do not launder curtains, alter or repair fabric, or work on hardware. We will not treat a delicate or sun-damaged curtain without discussing it with you first, and we do not promise that every stain will lift.
Yes, with a moving steam head and no prolonged heat. Coated linings crack under held heat, so this is one of the places where method matters more than product.
Steam-treated curtains are usually dry to the touch within the hour and are left open until they are. We do not close curtains onto damp fabric, which is how a musty smell starts.
It lifts some and not others. Old oil-based and dye-based marks on curtain fabric often will not come out, and we would rather tell you that at the inspection than after the visit.
Yes. Roller, roman and venetian blinds, wooden shutters and sheers are each handled differently, and they are scoped separately from curtains.
