Infant & Child Safety

Floors at Crawling Height

A crawling child spends their day in the first thirty centimetres of the room, which is where everything eventually settles.

What matters, and why.

What lands there

Fine dust, outdoor soil carried on shoes, food debris, and whatever the AC has been recirculating. Gravity does the rest.

Shoes at the door

The single most effective change any household with a crawling child can make, and it costs nothing.

Carpet and rugs

Dry vacuumed thoroughly, then extracted. Rugs are cleaned on both faces and the floor beneath them done — that is where the heaviest deposit sits.

Hard floors

Edge detailing by hand rather than mopping. The perimeter of a room holds more than the middle and a mop never reaches it.

If this is something you would rather hand over, our non-toxic deep cleaning is scoped at an inspection and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will also tell you when a job does not need us.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Not necessarily. Extraction removes most of what concerns parents, and hard floors show dust more quickly.

No. It suits sealed porcelain and grout, and damages laminate, engineered timber and unsealed stone.

Quarterly extraction is a reasonable interval, alongside normal weekly cleaning.
