Infant & Child Safety

Sofas, Feeding Chairs and Everyday Contact

The sofa is where a newborn is fed, held and changed. It gets more skin contact than any other furniture in the home.

What matters, and why.

Test before treating

Every piece is tested on an unseen corner first. Dye transfer from a cheaper fabric onto clothing cannot be undone.

Method by material

Fabric is extracted, leather is cleaned and conditioned rather than washed, velvet is never saturated, suede is solvent only.

Beneath and behind

Sections moved out, frames cleaned, and the floor underneath done. Milk and food find their way into the frame more than people expect.

Drying

Four to six hours with air movement, and covers go back only when the seams are dry rather than just the surface.

If this is something you would rather hand over, our non-toxic deep cleaning is scoped at an inspection and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will also tell you when a job does not need us.

Questions
