Chandeliers, High-Level Fittings and Light Quality

A dusty fitting does not just look dull. It measurably reduces the light reaching the room, which is why a cleaned chandelier feels like a new one.

What matters, and why.

Access first

Height, ladder or tower access, and whether the fitting can be lowered. That is a safety conversation before it is a cleaning one.

Crystal and glass

Cleaned piece by piece where the fitting allows, or in place with the correct solution and no drips onto the fixture body. Photographed before dismantling so it goes back correctly.

Metalwork

Treated according to finish. Antique brass and lacquered fittings need opposite approaches and confusing them ruins the piece.

Electrical safety

Power isolated, nothing wet near a lamp holder, and lamps removed where required. We clean; we do not carry out electrical work.

If this is something you would rather hand over, our specialist cleaning and restoration is scoped at an inspection and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will also tell you when a job does not need us.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Annually for most, twice a year in a double-height space near a busy road or construction.

Frequently, depending on the design. Complex crystal pieces are better dismantled and it takes longer.

Tower or platform access, quoted after we have seen the space. Ladders are not the answer above a certain height.
