Mould & Humidity

Basements, Stores and Rooms That Never Dry

Below-grade and internal rooms have no natural drying route. They need one designed in.

What matters, and why.

Why they hold moisture

No external wall, little air exchange, and often a cooler surface temperature that encourages condensation.

Mechanical ventilation

An extract that actually runs, ducted to outside rather than into a void. A great many basement extracts terminate somewhere unhelpful.

Dehumidification

A unit sized to the volume, with a drain rather than a tank someone has to remember to empty.

Storage habits

Nothing directly against an external wall, nothing on a bare floor, and no cardboard — it absorbs moisture and feeds growth.

If this is something you would rather hand over, our mould treatment and deep cleaning is scoped at an inspection and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will also tell you when a job does not need us.

No. It usually means warm humid air is meeting a cold slab, and ventilation is the fix.
