Preparing a Home for a New Arrival

Late pregnancy is the wrong time to be moving furniture and breathing cleaning products. It is the right time to have the house properly reset.

What matters, and why.

What to do before

The full property list: cabinets emptied, appliances opened, soft furnishings extracted, floors detailed, AC filters and returns cleaned.

Sequencing

Painting first if any is planned, then curing time, then the deep clean. Cleaning before painting means doing it twice.

Who attends

We can arrange a female-led crew and a female supervisor where a household prefers it. Say so when you book and it is arranged without discussion.

The practical point

Nothing on this list needs the expectant parent to lift, move or ventilate anything. That is the actual value of having it done rather than doing it.

If this is something you would rather hand over, our non-toxic deep cleaning is scoped at an inspection and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will also tell you when a job does not need us.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Four to six weeks before the due date is comfortable — early enough to be finished, late enough to still be fresh.

Yes. Room by room, with the quietest equipment we have, on a schedule you set.

Non-toxic and low-residue throughout. Anything stronger is scheduled for a day the property is empty, and we tell you in advance.
