Double-Height Spaces and the Dust Nobody Can Reach

In a double-height room, everything above three metres is out of reach and therefore never cleaned, until it becomes visible from below.

What matters, and why.

Where it accumulates

Cornice, upper wall surfaces, high-level ledges, ceiling fans, light fittings and the tops of tall joinery. In a villa entrance hall this is the first thing a visitor sees.

Why it matters beyond appearance

A high-level dust layer is a reservoir that resettles onto everything below every time the air moves. Cleaning the floor and leaving the ledges is a short-lived result.

Access

Tower or platform, with the floor protected. Ladders are not appropriate above a certain height and a contractor who arrives with only a ladder cannot do the work.

Frequency

Twice a year for most double-height spaces, more where the property is near construction or on the desert edge.

If this is something you would rather hand over, our specialist cleaning and restoration is scoped at an inspection and confirmed in writing before any work begins. We will also tell you when a job does not need us.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Mobile tower access covers most residential double-height spaces. Very high atria need more and we quote it honestly.

Reachable high level is. Anything needing tower access is quoted separately because it needs different equipment.

Cleaned at the same time from the same access, which is the efficient way to do it.
